Mr. Boddington's Penguin Classics

Meet the books that began my collection.

I came across these one day in my local Anthropologie. My second copy of Pride and Prejudice was completely worn out, and I thought, why not treat myself to a pretty hardcover? But it was too pretty to read, I was afraid of damaging it. So it sat on my shelf. And then I had to buy another to read, and another and another, and soon it became a collection.

Flash forward to last year when I opened my Bookstagram account. I discovered that they were really rare. I can see why! They really are unique and beautiful, and I've always regretted not purchasing the gorgeous yellow Jane Eyre edition, but back then I was barely getting by and could only afford one. Now I have a book budget, and I'm ardently happy to have completed the set!
